The nominee should show tangible impact in strengthening supply chains, supporting farmer organizations, and driving consumer awareness. Special consideration will be given to those who have maintained transparency, built long-term relationships with producers, and taken proactive steps toward sustainable trade practices.
Business Partner of the Year: Lifestyle and Apparel honors a commercial partner that has shown exceptional leadership in promoting Fairtrade within the lifestyle and apparel sector. This award highlights businesses that source Fairtrade cotton or other certified materials, champion ethical fashion, and actively support fair wages and safe working conditions across their supply chains. Eligible nominees include fashion brands, retailers, manufacturers, or designers working closely with Fairtrade-certified suppliers. The partner should demonstrate a strong commitment to transparency, innovation in sustainable design, and meaningful consumer engagement. Preference will be given to those who have contributed to long-term impact for farmers, workers, and the environment through Fairtrade-aligned practices.
Fairtrade Impactful Communication recognizes commercial partners that have effectively used storytelling, media, or creative campaigns to raise awareness about Fairtrade and its values. This award celebrates impactful content that highlights the voices of farmers, workers, and artisans, and inspires ethical consumer choices. Eligible nominees could include marketing teams, media agencies, content creators, students, or campaigners from the organization who have delivered high-visibility communication aligned with Fairtrade’s mission. Entries should demonstrate originality, clarity of message, and measurable outreach or engagement. Preference will be given to initiatives that have contributed to shifting narratives around ethical trade and sustainability in India.
Fairtrade Engagement recognizes commercial partners that have demonstrated deep, consistent, and meaningful involvement with the Fairtrade movement. This award honors those who have actively participated in events, campaigns, educational initiatives, or capacity-building efforts that promote Fairtrade values and practices. Eligible nominees may include schools, colleges, community groups, youth networks, civil society organizations, or commercial partners. The nominee should show a strong track record of mobilizing others, fostering awareness, and driving local impact through sustained engagement. Special consideration will be given to those who have built inclusive platforms, strengthened community participation, and championed Fairtrade as a tool for social and environmental justice.
Education Institution Partner of the Year: Schools elebrates a school that has actively integrated Fairtrade values into its learning environment and community engagement. This award recognizes schools that have gone beyond classroom teaching to promote ethical consumption, sustainability, and Re8 of fashion among students. Eligible institutions should demonstrate participation in Fairtrade campaigns, awareness drives, creative projects, or student-led initiatives that reflect a commitment to fairness and justice. The nominee should showcase how Fairtrade has been embedded into the school’s culture, curriculum, or extracurricular activities. Preference will be given to schools that have inspired student leadership, fostered community dialogue, and created long-term impact through their Fairtrade engagement.
Young Talent Award recognizes outstanding student-led initiatives that have championed Fairtrade values within their school or community. This award celebrates the creativity, leadership, and commitment of young changemakers who have driven impactful campaigns, projects, or activities promoting ethical consumption and sustainability. Eligible nominees can be individual students or a group from a Fairtrade-engaged school who have taken proactive steps to raise awareness or bring about meaningful change. Submissions should demonstrate originality, initiative, and measurable outcomes aligned with Fairtrade’s mission. Special recognition will be given to efforts that reflect student ownership, innovation, and long-term commitment to social and environmental justice.
Sustainable Textile Production Champion recognizes a textile manufacturing facility that has demonstrated exemplary commitment to sustainable and ethical production practices. This award honors those who are either Fairtrade Certified and contributed to building a sustainable value chain and sustainable production practices at their facility or have actively participated in European Union’s SWITCH ASIA programme on sustainable textile production which Fairtrade India and Partners in Change have been implementing in India. Eligible nominees should show tangible measures in improving labor conditions, reducing environmental impact, and supporting worker well-being. The recognition highlights leadership in integrating Fairtrade standards, adopting practices and policies which have created a positive impact for the planet and the workers, and promoting transparency across production processes. Special consideration will be given to facilities that have empowered their workforce, driven innovation, and set benchmarks for responsible manufacturing in the textile sector.
Sustainable Textiles Production Champion also recognizes individuals who have been leaders and champions for promoting the adoption of sustainable production practices in the textiles facilities that they work in. This award honours those working in Fairtrade Certified Textiles facilities or those who have participated in European Union’s SWITCH ASIA programme on sustainable textile production which Fairtrade India and Partners in Change have been implementing in India.. Eligible nominees should demonstrate strong engagement with the Fairtrade Certification and supply chain programme and/or with the training programmes organised under the EU SWITCH ASIA programme. In addition, the nominee should have made a tangible contribution to their organisation’s sustainable textiles production achievement in measurement and reporting, adoption of sustainable production practices- for the environmental sustainability and working conditions in the facility- and dissemination of the sustainability concepts across their organisation and in the wider industry. The recognition highlights those who have gone beyond compliance to create long-term positive impact for workers, and the planet. Preference will be given to those who have actively collaborated with Fairtrade India and Partners in Change and, engaged in awareness-building, and inspired change through innovation and advocacy in sustainable textiles.
The Climate Action & Sustainable Environment Award recognises outstanding initiatives by Fairtrade producer organisations addressing environmental sustainability and climate resilience. This award celebrates innovative projects that promote good agricultural practices, technological advancements, afforestation, and climate-smart investments. Producers are encouraged to showcase impactful interventions backed by measurable outcomes and community benefits. Through this recognition, we aim to highlight and inspire scalable, eco-conscious solutions across the Fairtrade network.
The Sustainable Communities: Gender & Youth Empowerment Award honours Fairtrade producers who champion inclusive leadership and social equity. This award recognizes efforts that uplift women and youth through representation, capacity-building programs, and Fairtrade Premium investments, fostering gender balance, economic independence, and youth engagement in leadership and decision-making. Producers are encouraged to showcase measurable outcomes that demonstrate long-term empowerment and systemic change. The goal is to celebrate models that inspire equitable and resilient communities within the Fairtrade ecosystem.
