As Regional Head of Ethical Tea partnership closely worked with producers, global buyers, NGOs, INGOs, Development Organisations, Research institutes etc.
As part of commercial experience – notable achievements have been driving up revenues through quality upgradation, lowering of costs by bringing in better efficiency and financial engineering, inculcating sustainability as a core business pillar. In sustainability space – spearheaded some notable projects directed towards the tea workers and communities, climate change, identifying business case for investment in sustainability. Understanding and assessing risks in supply chain, bought together coalitions to address those risks and work towards creating “sustainable supply chains”.
Have been part of Industry Associations in India and Africa and held important positions therein. Worked with various certification schemes and was in the Governing council Trustea program in India. Strong network in supply chain, from primary producer companies, buyers, auctioneers, packers, brand owners, NGOs/INGOs, Development organisations, Government, Research associations etc.
A numbers man -graduated with majors in Mathematics, Physics, member of ACCA and Certfications on Climate change, Climate finance, Sustainable finance, Strategic professional. Areas of interest are finance, economics, agriculture, wildlife, history, climate, new and emerging technologies.
